The Wright Family Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Mohonasen Central School District to support its MohonCARES (Connecting Area Resources to Empower Students) programming. This grant was secured with support from the Grant Writing team of our Engagement and Development Services division.
MohonCARES aims to achieve equity among students by providing such needed resources as food, toiletries, clothing and school supplies. The funding from this recent grant is earmarked to support “Anchor Rooms,” where students can access toiletries and clothing as needed.
Providing essential food, clothing and supplies is one important way the school district helps students maintain their physical and mental well-being, achieve academic success and, ultimately, graduate from high school and be productive citizens.
