Section 211 Waiver Notification

Effective March 14, 2019, Mr. Mark Doody received approval for temporary employment as a retiree under Section 211 of Retirement and Social Security law.  This temporary employment as a Special Projects Administrator for the Capital Region BOCES will be in effect from January 2, 2019 through June 30, 2019.  The compensation package for this employment is authorized at a daily rate of $600.00.  There is no other compensation associated with this appointment.  As a retiree, Mr. Doody reserves the right to receive his pension while employed with the Capital Region BOCES.

Effective January 10, 2019, Ms. Helen Thompson received approval for temporary employment as a retiree under Section 211 of Retirement and Social Security Law. This temporary employment as a Teacher-Career Education for the Capital Region BOCES will run from October 12, 2018 through June 30, 2019. The compensation package for this employment is authorized at a salary rate of $47,631 (prorated to the amount of service rendered) as well as time accruals and dental insurance. As a retiree, Ms. Thompson reserves that right to receive her pension while employed with the Capital Region BOCES.

Effective October 24, 2018, Ms. Maureen Gushlaw received approval for temporary employment as a retiree under Section 211 of Retirement and Social Security Law.  This temporary employment as an Interim Special Education Principal for the Capital Region BOCES will run from September 13, 2018 through November 30, 2018.  The compensation package for this employment is authorized at a daily rate of $500.00 as well as reimbursement for travel expenses as set forth by school board policy.  There is no other compensation associated with this appointment.  As a retiree, Ms. Gushlaw reserves that right to receive her pension while employed with the Capital Region BOCES.
