Capital Region BOCES welcomes Lauren Morley as Associate Superintendent for Operations. With more than two decades in public education and district leadership, Mrs. Morley brings extensive experience to her new role.
She joins BOCES following her tenure as Superintendent of Schools of the Hammond Central School District in St. Lawrence County. During her three-years in this role, Mrs. Morley led curriculum oversight, strategic planning, budget development and state compliance initiatives.
This experience will position her well as Associate Superintendent for Operations, where she will support internal operational functions at BOCES and for component districts, while also contributing to long‑range planning. Mrs. Morley will take an active part in advancing CRB enterprise goals and professional development initiatives, in addition to supporting the instructional side of the Cooperative Virtual Learning Academy (CVLA).
Throughout her career, Mrs. Morley has demonstrated a commitment to student-centered decision-making. Prior to serving as superintendent, she was a UPK-12 principal in Hammond and a 5-12 principal and athletic director in the Lisbon Central School District. Her experience includes supervising staff, leading instructional programs and coordinating extracurricular and athletic initiatives.
Mrs. Morley began her career as a physical education teacher, serving students at both the secondary and elementary levels. This foundation in the classroom helps to inform her approach to leadership, collaboration and operational decision-making.
“We are pleased to welcome Lauren Morley to the leadership team. She brings years of experience as well as a solution-oriented approach and positive energy to her work,” said Elizabeth Wood, Deputy District Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer.
Capital Region BOCES welcomes Mrs. Morley. The expertise and perspective she brings to advancing operational excellence and service to component districts make her a valuable addition to the team.
