School Resource Officer hosts annual Cops with Cones at Airline Academy

Airline Academy held its annual Cops with Cones event on Thursday, Aug. 6.

The event was hosted by Capital Region BOCES School Resource Officer Matt Stott and his friends from the Colonie Police Community Services Unit. The officers eagerly served students and staff scoops of their favorite ice cream, which was generously provided by Stewart’s shop. 

Cones with Cops is fitting for the extended school year when students from Capital Region BOCES public school programs meet for classes at Airline.  The event is a great social activity for students as it supports their developmental skills and is a nice way to break up the day.  Cops with Cones also allows the SRO to bond with students and staff from across the Special Education division.
