Voters approve proposition to build storage garage

On Tuesday, July 11, voters residing within Capital Region BOCES component districts and the City School District of Albany authorized construction of a storage building at the Career & Technical Education Center – Schoharie Campus, with 1007 casting votes in favor and 44 opposed.

The new five-bay, 4,500-square-foot garage will be used to store equipment and materials. Once the equipment from inside the building is moved to the new garage, BOCES will use its existing storage space to open a new welding program at the Schoharie CTE facility.

There will be no tax impact from building the new storage garage.
