BOCES to help Menands, Watervliet students learn and have fun with STEM

participate in a week-long Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) enrichment program. 

The enrichment program—now in its sixth year—will take place the week of Aug. 3 in Menands.

The program aims to spark the curiosity of students with an interest in STEM fields while bringing educational opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds. 

Capital Region BOCES is partnering with Future STEM, formerly Ten80 Education, to offer the program which will take place at the Menands Union Free School. This year’s theme is “Cars and Conductors.” 

Students will explore electricity, semiconductors, and 1/10th scale electric racecars, according to officials at STEM Future. The program is sponsored by Global Foundries and will culminate in a showcase on August 7.
