Congratulations to Management Services Automotive Mechanic Foreman Louis Cutter, recipient of the November 2025 Commitment Award.
Supporting the Niskayuna Central School District, Lou was a district employee for more than 20 years and has been with Capital Region BOCES for the last 10. When called upon, Lou didn’t hesitate to step up from mechanic to team supervisor. Beyond repairing buses and BOCES vehicles, he sets the standard for excellence that his team strives to follow.
“Through Lou’s leadership, he has uplifted the morale of his mechanics and consistently leads by example. Even when short-staffed, he ensures the job gets done. There is no challenge he won’t face head on,” said Transportation Director Richard Kirk in his award nomination. “His years of military training have shaped him to be all that he can be.”
