New Courses for Budding Engineers and Pet-Lovers

Programs available to students in September 2018

Animal lovers and problem-solvers rejoice – two exciting new options will be available next school year, as outlined below.

Engineering Technician Program

Learn about the semi-conductor industry; clean room protocols; safety; electronics; hand tool usage; automation; tool extraction and repair; valve operation and repair; and more. Students who complete the course will automatically be interviewed for a position with GLOBALFOUNDRIES the experts behind the course curriculum.

Pet Tech Program

Get prepared for a career in the burgeoning pet care industry.  By working with small domestic animals, students will learn basic pet care skills, including pet grooming, washing and best practices for boarding animals. Customer service skills, written and spoken communications, and office and computer skills will also be covered.

Students should contact their respective high school counselor now to express interest and enroll.
