Interim Principals (Continuous Recruitment)

Basic Function:
Capital Region BOCES is seeking eligible candidates willing to be included in a pool of experienced school leaders willing to lead school buildings during the transition phase. Candidates must have a track record of achievement necessary to inspire the students, staff and community to meet building and district goals.
Qualifications:
A. Must hold a valid School Building Leader, School Administrator & Supervisor or School District Administrator certificate.
B. Proven building level leadership preferred.
C. Ability to facilitate a successful building leadership team.
D. A leader who collaborates and builds consensus with staff, students and parents.
E. An excellent communicator with good listening skills, who is willing to receive feedback constructively and with respect.
Responsibilities:
To lead a district school building during the transition time necessary for a Principal search.
Start Date:
As vacancies occur
Application Deadline:
May 31, 2024 (or until all positions are filled)
Starting Salary:
Salary commensurate with District assignment
The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
