9-12 School Counselor Jessica Iorio
Mrs. Iorio started with the Cooperative Virtual Learning Academy (CVLA) during the 2022-23 school year and brings over 16 years of experience as a school counselor, with a strong focus on social-emotional learning, academic support and student advocacy. She is passionate about helping students thrive in a virtual environment through meaningful connections, personalized guidance and engaging SEL instruction.
Mrs. Iorio holds a master’s in school counseling from Sage Graduate School and a bachelor’s in psychology from Siena College. She is certified in both New York and Massachusetts for K-12 school counseling and has extensive experience in both traditional and virtual school environments.
A proud Massachusetts native now living in New York, Mrs. Iorio enjoys life with her husband, two daughters and their lovable dog Teddy—who often makes surprise guest appearances in Google Meets. Her happy place is Cape Cod, MA, and she loves yoga, crocheting, long walks and fall foliage. Her favorite self-care tools include mindfulness, deep breathing and a good walk in nature.
