Description:
POSITION: Math Grades 7-12 Summer School Teachers (positions filled contingent on enrollment)
LOCATION: Educational Support Services – Regional Summer School (summer school will be held at Niskayuna CSD & Berne-Knox-Westerlo CSD)
DATE: July 8, 2024 thru August 16, 2024 – Monday thru Thursday @ 2-4 hours each day
There will be a mandatory training on Mon. 7/8/24 and Tues. 7/9/24 from 8AM to 12PM at the summer school location you will be assigned to teach.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Duties include providing differentiated, direct instruction and remediation for middle and high school Math core course that could possibly lead to a Regents program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. NYS certification in all areas of Mathematics 7-12
B. Experience in teaching Algebra and Geometry preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Curriculum instruction, supervision and evaluation of students in need of remediation.
2. Students will require content and skills that will assist them in being successful throughout their summer school experience.
