Request Textbooks for Non-Public Schools

If your child attends a private or parochial school that uses our non-public schools service, you may receive textbooks loaned through the BOCES. Our service provides textbooks on behalf of most districts in the Capital Region, and numerous others in nearby areas.

In most cases, your non-public school will provide you with any forms along with detailed instructions for how to request books from your district of residence. Please check with the non-public school office before taking further steps.

In case your non-public school is not familiar with our service, you can always request books directly from us using the Textbook Loan Form linked below.

Please note that some districts do not use our service, in which case you may need to contact your home school district of residence directly. If you are unsure whether your district uses Capital Region BOCES for non-public textbooks, please reach out to our staff at textbooks@neric.org.

Return Textbooks

Towards the end of the school year, you will receive instructions for returning the loaned textbooks to Capital Region BOCES. Often, you can return the books directly to your non-public school, but check with their office for details. You will also be given opportunities to return to your home district when appropriate on specific dates.

Textbooks may also be returned any time of year at the Capital Region BOCES Textbooks for Non-Public Schools offices, at 900 Watervliet Shaker Road, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Directions to the Textbooks for Non-Public Schools offices.
