The Early College Access COSER was created by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to offer college-level courses to high school students for both high school and college credit with no out-of-pocket costs to students or families. School districts can use general fund money to cover costs of College in the High school courses, including tuition and applicable BOCES fees, and receive state aid on those services.
For 2026-2027, courses offered through SUNY Albany, SUNY Cobleskill, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) and SUNY Schenectady are eligible to run through this service.
