Skills Needed:
Performs skilled service repairs on heavy automotive and mechanical equipment, including but not limited to repairs on frames, bodies, and grills of trucks, tractors, and buses. Performs repair or replacement of damaged automotive equipment body parts, rust abatement, metal welding and fabrication, automotive painting, and cost estimation consistent with standard/diesel automotive repair methods. May perform related light mechanical work. Must possess thorough working knowledge and basic hand tools necessary to perform automotive body repairs on diesel and gasoline powered engines. Performs NYSDOT mandated PM inspections on school buses. If NOT yet 21 years of age at the time of hiring, must within six months after turning 21, possess a CDL-B license with a P and S endorsement and be able to pass DOT physical. Shall operate a school bus on assigned route, removal of snow/ice from buses, sidewalks, and parking lots, and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Certification Or Education Required:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and two (2) years construction auto body repair experience or graduation from an accredited auto body program. Thorough working knowledge of automotive body repair methods, tools/materials, equipment, and terminology.
Hourly Wage:
$24.81 / hour

Hours:
Full time 8hours per day and 40 hours per week. 6 am to 2:30 pm
