Social/Emotional Well-Being

Capital Region BOCES recognizes that the social emotional well-being of our students and staff during these challenging times is critically important. We have resources available and are ready to make referrals if needed to address mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs of students, faculty and staff when school reopens for in-person instruction.

An advisory team will be established to inform Capital Region BOCES regarding resources to support the social and emotional learning needs of students and staff. Staff who need social-emotional support are encouraged to contact the Capital Region BOCES Human Resources department or access EAP resources through BERT, Capital Region BOCES’ staff intranet.

Capital Region BOCES will offer professional development opportunities for faculty and staff on how to talk with and support the social and emotional well-being of students through the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.
