September 15-30, 2026 — Budget Calendar is reviewed with Administration and Program Managers
November 6, 2026 — Salary and benefit data activated in WinCap for 2027-28 budget
December 4, 2026 —Proposed 2027-28 Administrative and Capital Budgets completed
December 17, 2026* — Administrative and Capital Budgets presented to Board of Education
December 18, 2026—Administration review tentative budgets w/ District Superintendent and DDS/COO
January 8, 2027— Final submission of proposed 2027-28 budgets to Business Office
January 14, 2027* — BOCES Board reviews Divisional Budgets (ESS, SPED, CTE)
February 8, 2027* — BOCES Board reviews Divisional Budgets (EDS, MS, NERIC)
February 26, 2027 — Commitment Form/Final Service Request (FSR) sent to districts
March 18, 2027 — Publication of first legal notice of Annual Meeting 14 days prior to 4/7 Annual Meeting)
March 19, 2027 — Nominations of Candidates for election to the BOCES Board due to BOCES Board Clerk (at least 30 days prior to 4/20 vote by component boards)
March 24, 2027 — Budget communication/newsletter finalized and sent to districts
March 29, 2027 — Publication of second legal notice of Annual Meeting
March 31, 2027 — Board Election and Budget ballots sent certified mail and email to component districts (at least 14 days prior to 4/20 vote by component boards)
April 7, 2027 — BOCES Annual Meeting and Budget Presentation
April 12, 2027** — Capital Region BOCES Board adopts 2027-28 Budgets
April 20, 2025 — Component Boards vote on 2027-28 Administrative Budget and BOCES BOE Election
April 21, 2027 — Election results delivered to BOCES Board Clerk from component districts
May 7, 2027 — Final service commitments returned to BOCES by component districts
June 15, 2027 — Adopted 2027-28 Budget filed with State Education Department
