Job Description:

Heavy Highway Construction Carpenter in Upstate, NY. The successful candidate will be an important member of the construction team and will report directly to a site Supervisor. Responsibilities Include: Perform a range of tasks (such as site demo, cleaning, moving materials and assisting other trades) as needed Physical demands such as standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects under a variety of environmental conditions Concrete forming and finishing on various structures Maintain a safe working environment by following all rules and regulations. Must provide certain hand tools necessary for the job Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate night and weekend work if necessary

Skills Needed:

Previous experience in construction, but not required. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions. Familiarity with concrete, earthwork, and/or structural steel work is a plus. Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team. Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures. Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
