Job Description:

Field Technical Service Manager Technical Operations · Full-Time · Voorheesville, NY (Albany Region) First Green Industries is a forward-thinking heavy equipment manufacturer headquartered in the Voorheesville/Albany, NY region. We’re seeking a skilled and driven Field Technical Service professional to represent our brand on the front lines, delivering exceptional technical support and service directly to our customers in our warehouse, online, or in the field. THE ROLE • Perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of First Green Industries heavy equipment • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers in the field • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately under real-world conditions • Maintain detailed and accurate service records, work orders, and technical documentation • Coordinate with the internal technical team, warehousing, and customer service to resolve issues quickly • Provide technical guidance and training to customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on field experience and customer feedback • Lead and align technical department with customer service, repair, and warehousing • Take ownership of the final upfit, build-out, and preparation of machines, ensuring all equipment is fully completed, quality-checked, and ready for shipment to the end customer. • Responsible for inventory management from intake through dispatch, including tracking and maintaining accurate records. • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all product lines REQUIREMENTS • Hands-on mechanical background, repair, and maintenance with proven experience in heavy equipment or related industrial sector • Strong attention to detail with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues accurately • Exceptional professional communication skills — written, verbal, and customer-facing • Ability to work independently, effectively manage time, and consistently meet deadlines without direct supervision. • Exceptional professional communication skills — written, verbal, and cross-functional • Computer literate; comfortable with basic communication tools and Google Workspaces • Must be willing to relocate to or commute within the Voorheesville/Albany, NY area • Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada • Must be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport for potential international travelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of electrical systems as they apply to heavy equipment platforms • Bilingual in Spanish and English — a significant advantage for our growing markets WHAT WE VALUE Organized · Mechanical Aptitude · Attention to Detail · Deadline-Driven · Bilingual (ES/EN) · Electrical Systems Knowledge · Computer Literate · Professional Communication For more information or to apply, Contact Marcus Suess (Marcus.Suess@First.Green)
