Description:
POSITION TITLE: English Grades 9-12 Summer School Teachers (positions filled contingent on enrollment)
BASIC FUNCTION: Duties include providing differentiated, direct instruction and remediation for high school English that could possibly lead to a Regent’s program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. NYS certification in all areas of English 9-12
B. Experience in teaching summer school a plus
The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Curriculum instruction, supervision and evaluation of students in need of remediation.
2. Students will require content and skills that will assist them in being successful throughout their summer school experience.
SALARY: $50.74 per hour (paid on an hourly basis)
START DATE:
July 7, 2026 – August 13, 2026 – Monday thru Thursday @ 2-4 hours each day
There will be a mandatory training on Tuesday, July 7th from 8AM to 1PM at the summer school location you will be assigned to teach.
Aug. 18, 2026 and Aug. 19, 2026 – Regents Exam (times to be determined)
