Meals For Students – School Distribution Sites

Please check district websites for possible changes to this information.

School districts across the Capital Region are providing no-cost meals for their students during school closures related to COVID-19. 

Albany, City School District

“Grab-and-go” breakfast and lunch for the next day will be available for pick-up for students from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the school closure at the following schools:

  • Albany High School (Washington Avenue entrance), 700 Washington Ave.
  • Albany School of Humanities (ASH), 108 Whitehall Rd.
  • Arbor Hill Elementary School, 1 Arbor Dr.
  • Giffen Memorial Elementary School, 274 South Pearl St.
  • Tony Clement Center for Education, 395 Elk St.
  • William S. Hackett Middle School, 45 Delaware Ave.

Lunch/student ID is needed to pick up meals.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District

The district will be making home deliveries on Mondays of breakfast and lunch for five days throughout the school closure. Deliveries are scheduled for students in the free and reduced price meals program. If your student is not in that program, but needs meals, please call the transportation office at 518-872-1126 and leave the student’s name and address.

Weekend backpacks of food for students participating with that program will be delivered on Mondays.

Bethlehem Central School District

Grab-and-go” breakfast and lunch for students will be available Monday through Friday at Bethlehem Central High School (Van Dyke Road entrance on the side of the school, near the cafeteria), 700 Delaware Ave., throughout the school closure.

Meals are free to all students whether a student receives free meals during the normal school year or not. To keep traffic disruption to a minimum, please note the following pick-up schedule:

  • 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. — Last names beginning A-M
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. — Last names beginning N-Z

Please do not leave your vehicle – staff will bring meals to you.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District

“Grab and go” meals for students participating in the free and reduced price meals program will be available for pick-up Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at a station in the high school’s student parking lot outside the entrance to the cafeteria, 88 Lakehill Rd.

Weekend backpacks for food for students participating with this program will also be available at the pick-up station.

Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District

“Grab and go” lunch and breakfast for the next day for for all students who have a need for meals (student’s ID needed for pick-up) will be available from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following locations:

  • Radez Elementary School, 319 Main St. (enter the building using Door D2, nearest the main office)
  • Golding Middle School, 193 Golding Dr. between (use the cafeteria entrance)

Weekend backpacks of food for students participating with this program will also be available at these locations.

Cohoes City School District

“Grab and go” meals available Monday through Friday at the following locations:

  • Cohoes High School, 1 Tiger Circle, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Van Schaick Grade School, 150 Continental Ave., 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • United Church of Cohoes, 123 Mohawk St., 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • The Venue, 65 Congress St., 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Volunteers will also deliver meals Monday – Friday to the following sites:

  • Manor Sites, 11:15 a.m. drop off in front of main office
  • Lionheart , 11:30 a.m. drop off in centralized parking area
  • Roulier Heights, 11:45 a.m. (pick up in front of laundry room)
  • Saratoga Sites, 12:15 p.m. (pick up in front of laundry room)

Duanesburg Central School District

Deliveries of breakfast (extra food items will be provided for this meal) and lunch are scheduled Monday through Friday for students in the free and reduced price meal program and families who reach out to the district asking for this assistance during the school closure.

Weekend backpacks of food will also be delivered for students participating with that program.

Green Island Union Free School

Student meals will be delivered to families, free of charge, each Monday and Thursday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., throughout the school closure. Each delivery will contain 2 – 3 days’ worth of breakfast and lunch and will be left on doorsteps or at mailboxes.

Families may sign-up to receive meal deliveries by calling the main office at 518-273-1422. Sign ups received after Friday, March 27 will be processed and the district will begin delivery to those families the following week.

Guilderland Central School District

Deliveries of three days’ worth of breakfast and lunch will be delivered to all students who participate in the free and reduced price meals program and others who contact the district about receiving meals. Deliveries will be made on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. throughout the school closure.

Children who attend a childcare center within the boundaries of the Guilderland School District that participates in CACFP are eligible for meals provided by the school district.

Menands Central School District

Deliveries breakfast and lunch will be made Monday through Friday to students’ bus stops. The delivery time will be 1 ½ – 2 hours after students’ regular morning pick up times. Meals can also be picked up at the entrance to the school students attend between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

“Grab and go” lunch and breakfast for the next day for students enrolled in the free and reduced price meals program will be available from 7:45 a.m. – 9 a.m., Monday through Friday at the following locations:

The district will provide five days’ worth of breakfast and lunch on designated days to any students who have a need for meals throughout the school closure. Visit this page on the district’s website to learn more about the plan for the coming week.

North Colonie Central School District

“Grab and go” meals will be available for all students throughout the school closure. Meals can be picked up from 8 – 8:45 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the following sites:

  • Forts Ferry Elementary School, 95 Forts Ferry Rd. (glass door of the cafeteria)
  • Blue Creek Elementary School, 100 Clinton Rd. (back parking lot door, CYC entrance)
  • Shaker High School, 445 Watervliet-Shaker Rd. (back glass door near receiving entrance)

Schenectady City School District

Breakfast and lunch can be picked up at bus stop or any district school between 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Weekend backpacks can be picked up on Fridays at the meal pick-up sites or at the Mont Pleasant Boys and Girls Club, Monday through Friday, between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Learn more about the routes and pick-up points by visiting the district’s website.

“Grab and go” lunches and breakfast for the next day will be available for pick-up Monday through Friday at Schoharie Elementary School for all students enrolled in free and reduced price meals program. Weekend backpacks of food for students participating with this program will also be available at this location.

Scotia-Glenville Central School District

“Grab and go” breakfast and lunch will be available at Scotia-Glenville High School, 1 Tartan Way, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for all students throughout the school closure. Weekend backpacks of food for students participating with this program will also be available.

  • Cheryl’s Lodge/Halfmoon Heights — noon
  • D&R Village — noon – 12:30 p.m.
  • North Pointe Apts. — noon – 12:30 p.m.

South Colonie Central School District

“Grab and go” breakfast and lunch will be available for pick up at Colonie High School, 1 Raider Blvd., and Lisha Kill Middle School, 68 Waterman Ave., Monday through Friday from 9 – 11 a.m. for all students throughout the school closure.

Please Note: Staff will not be on-site on Friday, April 10 to distribute meals. On Thursday, April 9, staff will double up on meal distribution providing two breakfasts and two lunches to cover both Thursday and Friday.

Voorheesville Central School District

Breakfast and lunch will be delivered daily to all students who are eligible for the free and reduced price meal program. Weekend backpacks of food for students who participate with that program will be delivered weekly.

Watervliet City School District

Free breakfast and lunch for all students will be available for pick Monday through Friday from 8 – 10 a.m. at Watervliet Elementary School, 2557 10th Avenue, or the Watervliet Civic Center, 14th Street & 1st Avenue.

Meals will also be delivered for pick up daily to 12 regular bus stops. Buses will be at the locations beginning at 9 a.m., and will remain at each stop for 15 minutes to allow time for students/families to pick up their meals. Learn more and see a list of stops at the district’s website

The Food is Fuel program will continue to provide non-perishable food items for families who already participate.
