Faculty and Staff Link Construction Partners with Students

Students build a foundation for career advancement

An adult from Callanan Industries presents in the front of the classroom
Construction industry representatives are speaking to Career & Tech School students throughout the month of October about various careers.

Career and Technical School students are meeting with area business partners to learn about a host of career and internship opportunities during National Careers in Construction Month.

The annual celebration is designed to celebrate careers in the construction industry, which still exist despite the pandemic.

Senior Business Community Liaison Nancy Liddle, teacher James Haas and several faculty members arranged for the visits.

This includes numerous presentations, including discussions with Callanan Industry representatives, University of Northwestern Ohio officials and by an HVAC/R partner for both high school and adult students.

Currently 270 area high school students – approximately 25 percent of our total enrollment – are participating in programs that prepare them for careers in the construction industry.
