Network Services-VOIP (SENIOR NETWORK & SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN)

What you will do:

As the Senior Network & Systems Technician focused on supporting the hosted VOIP services, you will lead the work of an integral part of NERIC’s Network Service’s team. This team strives to ensure that all services are delivered effectively and efficiently to our subscribing school districts. In your role, you can expect the following

Ø Your day will be busy leading a team focused on configuring and troubleshooting our subscribing school district’s CISCO hosted VOIP services, SIP Circuits, DID porting and Single Fusion platform.

Ø You’ll also work to support VOIP cutover projects, equipment installation and testing as well as monitor PRI and POTS lines.

Ø You will work with IT Directors, Technical Account Managers and various vendors to recommend technology plans and infrastructure refresh cycles to school districts.

Ø You will use your technical aptitude, training & communication techniques, and problem-solving skills to help others by providing support that keep our organization, and our client school district’s VOIP systems up and running.

What you bring to our team:

Ø College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field with at least 2-3 years of experience supporting the installation and maintenance of computer systems and networks. High School Diploma and at least 4 years of applicable experience will be considered. At least one year of experience as a team leader or project leader is required.

Ø Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, web-conferencing and in-person

Ø Any experience working in school district operations ideal but not required

Ø Passion to help others, great customer service skills and a personal drive for continuous learning and a desire to develop your skills
