To instruct students in the proper practices, procedures and skills associated with the industry. To provide entry level skills allowing students to enter the job market that pays them a living wage; or to continue their education at the post-secondary level. To be involved in developing partnership programs with local colleges and universities.
A. Should meet NYS Adult Education certification requirements or be eligible for it.
B. Related experience in the industry.
C. The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to provide sound instruction, ability to work in a team environment, work collaboratively with staff and administration.
D. Must possess good written and verbal skills.
1. To teach and develop curricula.
2. Provide students with the requisite trade skills and the integrated academic skills necessary to meet NYS standards and pass the mandated licensing examination.
3. Secure a job in a field related to their studies that pays a living wage or enable students to continue their education.
4. To strive to instill in all students safe work habits, the importance of lifelong learning and a work ethic that fosters reliability, competence and satisfaction with one’s own work.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
