A message from Jeff Palmer, Career and Technical Education Director, to our graduating Career and Technical School students and their families:
Congratulations to our graduating Career & Technical Education students!
I couldn’t let the school year end without sharing our plans to recognize and celebrate students’ achievements.
Please join us for a VIRTUAL 2020 Awards and Recognition Ceremony for your child’s campus/session, as appropriate.
While we understand that a virtual ceremony is not optimal for students and families alike, we believe it is the best way to balance the need to honor our students with the desire to protect them, as well as their families, from the threat of illness. It is also in accordance with the guidance issued by state and national health officials.
To the extent possible, each virtual graduation ceremony will replicate as many components of an in-person ceremony as possible. You can expect to hear each student’s name read aloud along with their picture on display, video clips of BOCES officials offering congratulatory remarks, names of scholarship and classroom awards recipients as well as candid photos of students at work during the school year.
Virtual Graduation Ceremony Schedule
If you are unable to attend the date listed below, please know the virtual graduation ceremony videos will be accessible through the summer.
Please note the videos are password-protected due to student privacy concerns. The password will be sent out directly to families via phone, email and text prior to the scheduled ceremony. You are welcome to share the link/password with your family and friends. However, please do not share the password on public channels such as websites or social media.
