Directions to our offices

We offer a comprehensive Library Automation Service and Union Catalog to over 50 area schools. In addition, the SLS has technology CoSers for databases, e-books and Instructional Media. Schools that have participated in our e-books purchasing for the past four years now have access to more than $300,000 worth of non-fiction and reference materials; in the past year we have added e-reader and e-title purchases as an option for districts.

Our Instructional Media service provides 40,000+ streaming “on-demand” videos, as well as hundreds of DVDs, Jackdaws (primary source materials), and Literature Boxes (class sets of books) for loan to participating districts. We provide Itinerant Librarian services for districts who need a part-time certified School Librarian as a stop-gap measure while developing a plan for a full-time position. Districts may also want to take advantage of our A/V Repair service. We have trained hundreds of school librarians and teachers in Inquiry-Based Curriculum which is now an integral part of the New York State Common Core State Standards. See links below for more detailed information on any of these products and services.
