Does welding spark your interest? Are you looking for a new direction in life?Adult welding picture

Then sign-up today for the Capital Region BOCES Adult Welding and Metal Fabrication class.

The 500-hour program provides the welding skills employers need as well as the certifications needed to turn students into valuable assets in the workforce.

The course meets Mondays through Wednesdays from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the Albany Career and Technical School (CTE) campus located at 1015 Watervliet-Shaker Road in Colonie. The cost of the program is $5,800.

According to the American Welding Society, there will be a shortage of 290,000 welding professionals, including inspectors, engineers, and teachers. The shortage is boosting salaries for those willing to do the work and who have the right training — training like that offered at the Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTE).

Anyone interested in more information or registering should call (518) 862-4707 or email rick.rose@neric.org.
