Mark your calendar: Three open houses planned for CTE facilities!

Events will take place next month

Parents and the community are invited to see what the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical School (CTE) has to offer learners of all ages and talents at a trio of fall open houses.

An open house for the Mohonasen Center for Advanced Technology will be conducted Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. Representatives of the CTE programs at the center, along with the other programs offered by Mohonasenasen Central School District, will be on hand.

The open house for the Schoharie CTE campus will be Oct. 11 and the Albany CTE open house will be Oct. 18. Both events run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Prior to each open house, at 5:30 p.m., campus chapter officers will be installed for SkillsUSA, a national organization of career and technical students.

The CTE Schoharie campus is located on Route 30A in Schoharie; the Albany campus is located at 1015 Watervliet-Shaker Road in Colonie. The Mohonasen Center for Advanced Technology is located at 400 Warrior Way in Schenectady. Click here for directions to all CTE campuses.

The open houses will showcase student work, school offerings for high school students and adults, food and refreshments, campus tours and hands-on activities. The Capital Region Career & Technical School offers more than 40 programs of study, including one-year, two-year, college-credit-bearing, full-day and part-time study options. Members of the public are encouraged to stop in at either or both open houses to enjoy what are always fun events.
