SkillsUSA officers inducted at Albany campus

 

Organization promotes students' personal and professional growth

Students ranging from future fashion designers to future chefs, contractors and nurses will lead the Capital Region BOCES Career and President Mike Tilison lights a candleTechnical School Albany campus SkillsUSA chapter for the 2017-18 school year.

During a ceremony that drew friends, relatives and school officials, the Albany SkillsUSA chapter inducted its slate of officers for the school's morning and afternoon sessions.

Albany campus SkillsUSA officers, their program, teacher and home school districts are as follows:

Morning officers:

  • President — Angel Ferrand, Criminal Justice, Shenendehowa
  • Vice President — Brianna Colucci, Global Fashion, Duanesburg
  • Treasurer — T’yanna Lockridge, Global Fashion, Schenectady
  • Secretary — Osman Rasul, Criminal Justice, Niskayuna
  • Parliamentarian — John Simonds, Auto Services, adult student
  • Community Service Liaison — Samantha Dollar, Culinary, Mohonasen
  • Historian / Photographer — Alyssa Andrew, Nurse Assistant II PCA/HHA,
    Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (BHBL)

SkillsUSA is a national organization for career and technical education students that promotes personal and professional growth and offers them the opportunity to compete at the local, regional, state and national levels.
