Employers to recruit Capital Region BOCES CTE auto students on May 23

 

Last year's job fair led to more than a dozen hires

 

GoldsteinNearly a dozen Capital Region employers are expected to recruit students at the annual Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School (CTE) Automotive Job Fair on May 23, 2017.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in building E on the Capital Region BOCES CTE Albany campus located at 1015 Watervliet-Shaker Road.

 Employers who have registered to be represented at the event include:

  • Cummins Sales and Service
  • Della Auto Group
  • DePaula Ford and Mazda
  • Destination Kia and Destination Nissan
  • Carver Industries
  • Hoffman Car Wash/Jiffy Lube

  • H & V Collision
  • Nissan
  • Firestone
  • Keeler Motor Car Co.
  • Kenworth Northeast
  • Mohawk Honda
  • Price Chopper
  • Hudson Valley Community College
  • Truck Association of New York

During the 2016 job fair, more than a dozen students were hired by businesses and in 2015, approximately 10 students were hired.

"We are extremely impressed with your students. It's great to find students ready and willing to work. Your students were well-prepared for the interview and presented themselves very well," said Victor Kulpa, human resources manager for Hoffman said following one of the job fairs.
