Capital Region BOCES students honored for perfection 


Four students had perfect attendance for two years; 20 were perfect this school year


Brenna styles hair during one day of the two years of perfect attendance she attainedAll too often, employees lack the work ethic to bring them into the office day-in and day-out, employers report.

The problem is so far-reaching that absenteeism is ranked among the top problems for employers in many national polls.

However, for four Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) Albany campus students, absenteeism is not a problem. In fact, for the two years that they were enrolled in their programs, they had perfect attendance, never falling victim to colds, transportation issues or even the simple whim to take a “mental health” day.

The four students were recently honored for their perfect attendance. They are as follows:

  •  Chad Albert from Guilderland
  •  Roy Grant, Cohoes
  •  Brenna Katsoudas, Niskayuna
  •  Johnathan Valentine, Shenendehowa


Additionally, more than a dozen CTE students were recognized for achieving perfect attendance during the 2016-17 school year. They are as follows:
