School counselors and administrators are invited to attend a December 14 gathering at two Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School (CTE) facilities.
The event will begin at the brand new Mohonasen Center for Advanced Technology (CAT) in Rotterdam and conclude at the CTE campus in Albany.
The CAT portion of the event will begin at 8 a.m. and include a tour of the new facility which opened this school year and includes CTE classrooms and labs for the welding, manufacturing, theatre and film production, sterile processing technician, gaming, multimedia and web design and the advanced alternative energy programs.
The event moves to the Albany CTE campus in time for a 10:30 a.m. overview of all new programs, as well as discussion of changes at the Albany and Schoharie CTE campuses, a discussion of the Career Development and Occupational Studies offerings, and other business. A lunch prepared and served by CTE culinary students will follow. The day will conclude with a tour of the Albany CTE.
