People who can design internet programs and create networks put the "tech" in the Tech Valley Region and at Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School (CTE), we put the tech in students who are interested in those career fields.
Internet Application Design prepares students for creative careers including web design, application design, visual communications, graphic arts and others. Over two years students develop professional skills in industry standard software as well as a working knowledge of design theory and practice. Working individually and in teams, students will engage in the same project planning and execution processes that are consistent with industry practice.
How Capital Region BOCES CTE can get you there
Students demonstrate their technical abilities through the Adobe Certified Expert Program and the Curriculum is aligned to NOCTI Advertising Design Standards. Additionally, students participate in a variety of work based learning activities designed to provide professional level practice and exposure to the expectations they will encounter in their careers.
Students completing the program are prepared for rigorous college and post-secondary programs and or qualified for entry level jobs within the visual communications field. This second year course will focus on project management, development of multi-faceted projects & campaigns, advanced software skills and output of content through the web and print.
